glendalough

ok, so these pictures here(the next couple) are from a place called glendalough, an old monastary and graveyard from several centuries ago by a man named kevin who was a holy man of sorts. it is an amazing place, really beautiful and amazing.

this is an amazing place, built before the pyramids by my ancestor celts. you see, on the winter solstice at ten after eight or so, sunlight shines through a small hole, and exactly filles an alter room deep inside this monument. the waiting list to get into this place is ten years; let that speak to you of its greatness Posted by Hello

who is this? he bears a resemblance to the man at tara...but all i know is that he is a holy man, most likely a saint Posted by Hello

another ruin picture, i wish i could give an explanation for these doorways, but i can't; i have a feeling that it used to hold statues Posted by Hello

i had to climb an ancient set of stairs and walk out on a wall that should have fallen down decades ago to get this photo-op, please don't comment on the quality Posted by Hello

to be honest, i really don't know what this is at all, please leave a comment if you have any idea what kind of plant this is Posted by Hello

we spent almost an hour here; there are some great walls to climb and several staircases, but strictly speaking access is blocked off Posted by Hello
